Visit Carndonagh, County Donegal

Hospitality, heritage, tradition

Home

Welcome to Carndonagh!

Carndonagh (Carn Domhnach) means cairn or mound of the Church.

Carndonagh (or Carn as it's called locally) is the main market and shopping town in the north of the Inishowen peninsula, County Donegal, Ireland. The town lies in the shadow of Slieve Snaght and was founded as a monastic settlement in the 5th Century by St. Patrick or his followers.

There's a great selection of shops, pubs, restaurants, cafes and late night venues with live music. There's also plenty of accommodation for people who want to visit.
