Travelling North from Malin towards Malin Head along Trawbrega Bay you will find a fine sandy beach called The Five Fingers Strand backed by sand dunes which are amongst the highest in Europe.

This has an extensive dune habitat. It is renowned for its flora and fauna. The Doagh Famine Village is located here.

This is a Wildlife Sanctuary which is an important landfall for migrating birds. Over-wintering Barnacle Geese along with Godwit, Dunlin, Chough and Pale Bellied Geese can be found here. Further information at www.npws.ie
